Warehouse Fulfillment Personnel

Hello! I would like to start by introducing myself to the My Father's World (MFW) family. My name is Jon R. I was born in Chicago, Illinois (go Cubs!) and moved to Missouri around 2006. I have called Missouri home for the past two decades. Growing up, my brother and I were privileged to be homeschooled by our mom, an elementary school teacher who loved working with children. Although we didn’t have the My Father's World curriculum to guide us back then, my mom, much like Marie Hazell, always encouraged outdoor play and hands-on learning.
I started working for My Father's World in the summer of 2020, during a time of chaos and uncertainty about the future. It was inspiring to join a company that genuinely cared and went out of its way to support both its employees and customers. I was initially hired as a part-time shipper but transitioned into a full-time warehouse worker a year later, and I've been with the company for five years.
Growing up homeschooled, I believe, laid the foundation for the man I am today. I was encouraged to ask questions and problem-solve, initially with gentle guidance from my mom, which ultimately fostered independent thinking. We often went out to learn firsthand about the topics discussed in the classroom. I remember a specific instance when we were learning about dinosaurs. My mom told us to get up and get in the car, and we went to a museum to see fossils with our own eyes. While not every family will have the luxury of the Chicago Field Museum just a few blocks down the street, going out and genuinely seeking and experiencing the world through God's eyes is essential for a developing mind.
I am now 23 years old and have my own family: my wonderful wife, Jodi, and our beautiful baby girl, Willow. Jodi has already started our "All Aboard the Animal Train" preschool with Willow, and she absolutely loves it! It’s fun and straightforward to use. The teacher's manual and instructions provide all the necessary clarity, leaving no room for confusion, especially for new teachers or mothers. Willow loves the animal themes introduced in each unit. Most importantly, everything is built upon a strong Christian foundation. We have even found that some neighborhood kids who come over for playdates with Willow are naturally drawn to learning the cool things their friend is discovering.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family, going to the many beautiful state parks here in Missouri, and hiking. I also enjoy working out, swimming, and side projects like photoshopping and building PCs (primarily for gaming).
My official title with My Father's World is Warehouse Fulfillment. This role involves stocking our shelves for the pickers and picking orders myself, which are then packed, weighed, and shipped out to all of you! More recently, I have been working at one of our separate warehouses that houses most of our bulk stock. I will go into more detail about that process in a separate post, so stay tuned!
