Family Traditions
The Family Traditions Continues as We Look to Our Youngest Daughter and Grandchildren
As previously discussed in my former blog, the opportunity for my wife and I to be able to offer our grandchildren the same privilege to homeschool as their parents had was important to us. It was our dream to pass on this tradition. Our three daughters were all blessed to experience portions of their education as homeschool students. Now they have given us 10 amazing grandchildren for whom My Father’s World has provided a window of opportunity. As grandparents, we are able to accommodate each of our children’s particular focus for their family lifestyles and demands of life. We can provide both curriculum and encouragement. Each of our three daughters’ families have different life requirements to meet, and each are perfect examples of how their individualities and specialized circumstances can be met.
Last time my article concerned our eldest daughter and her families’ changing lifestyles and demands. Now, I will explain some of the lifestyles and demands that our youngest daughter’s family has to strive through. Our youngest daughter had met a fine young man from our church and they both were attending Universities when they made a decision to marry. At the time, they were also interested and involved in filming and making movie clips. They even entered contests for companies looking for promotional and marketing videos. The two were both gorgeous and handsome young people and their videos were filmed with adventures in the wilderness in Native American and Viking attire, along with their Siberian Husky, making his own debut. They truly achieved outstanding results, along with such beauty, scripting, and unique filming dynamics.
When you are young and attending school while chasing your dreams, finances can be tight, and living quarters can be even tighter. With plans for children, they realized they needed to buckle down and seek a home providing additional bedrooms. They purchased a home with open space for children to grow and play, and just in time. A child was on the way! It was their first little baby, and for us, another grandchild! We were so thrilled that they too, as our other children, were going to homeschool their children! Once again, with me working at My Father’s World, we had the perfect opportunity to provide them with scholastic supplies. It was so exiting seeing them open the packages, and not only was our granddaughter thrilled but her parents were just as exited!
It was not long after, when my wife and I were visiting them that we realized how fast our granddaughter was learning and progressing. We were truly wide-eyed at how fast she was advancing. Our eyes became even wider when they gave us the news that another baby was on the way! That was one thrilling day for us! Fast forward a couple years and we found out our new granddaughter had found her older sister’s previous educational toys and started her own little class for herself. She was just two years old and was learning at a pace by herself, that my wife and I; literally could not believe the things she could do! As much as we love to encourage them, they have encouraged us over the years as well, bringing great joy to our lives.
